David Millili
HOst
Executive Producer
With nearly 30 years of experience in hospitality technology, my mission is to drive technological solutions, provide strategic support, and share my knowledge to help hotels thrive in an increasingly complex landscape.
What I do today:
As the former CEO of LodgIQ, I brought an AI-driven commercial strategy platform to hoteliers, helping them aggregate and action data for smarter and more efficient revenue management.
I’m also the Chairman of the Board at GAIN, where I support start-ups and scaleups in the travel, hospitality, and MICE industries to achieve commercial momentum and growth.
I also host The Modern Hotelier podcast, discussing the latest trends, strategies, and best practices in the industry. My aim is to educate and inspire hospitality professionals at all levels to adopt forward-thinking approaches.
Lastly, through my work with the Hospitality Innovation Hub Incubator at New York University, I actively mentor emerging entrepreneurs and support them on their journey to innovate and succeed in a fast-evolving industry.

Steve Carran is the Host and Head Writer of The Modern Hotelier podcast, where he and David Millili interview hospitality executives, industry influencers, and thought leaders to discuss the latest trends, innovations, and technologies shaping the industry.
Beyond the podcast, Steve advises tech companies on navigating the hospitality landscape, helping them bridge the gap between technology and hotel operations. He also serves as a board member for the HSMAI Southern Colorado chapter, where he focuses on business development and fostering connections among hospitality professionals. His passion extends beyond hotels to the technology that enhances guest experiences and streamlines operations.
When he’s not immersed in the world of hospitality, you can find him playing pickleball or exploring the outdoors with his wife, dog, and cat in Colorado.
Jon Bumhoffer
Producer
Jon Bumhoffer is the founder of Make More Media. He launched this company
after producing podcasts for Fortune 500 companies AIG and Rockwell
Automation and seeing how they employed the power of podcasts. He is an
accomplished producer, guitar player, and songwriter. All episodes of The
Modern Hotelier are produced, edited, and published by Jon and his professional
audio engineering team.

Voiceover Talent
Dean is a California-based voice actor and narrator heard on commercial, promo,
narration & video game projects globally. He is the voice of "Gale" in the hit
mobile game Brawl Stars, and "Scorv" in Grim Dawn on Xbox One. A longtime
radio professional as both a DJ and ad production man, Dean has done a variety
of high-profile work, perhaps most recognizably as the avuncular voice of the
California Lottery and for promos of Fox’s “The Family Guy.”
